Ingredients

  • 1 jar Pearls Specialties Garlic Stuffed Olives
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon roasted garlic powder
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1 egg, beaten + 1 tablespoon water

For the Garlic Butter

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • Parmesan cheese

Cooking Instructions

  1. Drain the olives and roughly chop 12 of the Pearls Garlic Stuffed Olives.  Cut the remaining olives in half and set aside.
  2. Pour the warm water into the bowl of your stand mixer and add the yeast. Let sit until dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl combine the milk, melted butter, sugar, salt, garlic powder, rosemary and the chopped olives. Stir until well-mixed.
  4. Place the dough hook on your electric mixer. Pour the milk mixture into the yeast mixture and mix thoroughly. Add 3 cups of flour and continue mixing the dough. Add additional flour as necessary to make a soft dough.
  5. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead the dough for five minutes or until the dough is nice and smooth.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning once to coat the dough. Cover loosely with a clean dishcloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 2 hours or until doubled in size. Punch the dough down and place it on a work surface. Divide the dough into 24 pieces and roll to form balls.  Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan. Place two balls of dough in each muffin cup. Press two or three olives halves into the dough balls.
  7. Brush the rolls with the egg wash and bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.  Meanwhile, make the Garlic Butter by combining the melted butter and garlic in a small mixing bowl.  Season with salt and set aside.
  8. Remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with the garlic butter. Finish with Parmesan cheese.
