Ingredients
- 1-pound store-bought pizza dough
- Olive oil
- 1 cup of your tomato sauce of choice
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup salami, sliced
- 1/2 cup Pearls Olive Medley, drained
- Hot Honey (use regular honey for the kiddos!)
- 4 Mini Cast Iron Skillets
Cooking Instructions
- Spread a thin layer of all-purpose flour on your work surface and lightly coat the ball of pizza dough. Let the dough rest at room temperature for 30-minutes, for easy rolling.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F.
- Cut the dough into four equal pieces. Use a rolling pin to roll or stretch the dough by hand to make each ball of dough slightly larger than your skillets.
- Spread a thin layer of olive oil over the inside of your individual skillets.
- Carefully place the stretched pizza dough into the skillets, pressing it down with your fingers and up the edges of the skillet. Brush the pizza dough all over with olive oil. Place the skillets in the oven and pre-bake the crust for 5 minutes.
- Remove the skillets from the oven and spread tomato sauce over the crusts. Top with cheese, salami, and olives. Transfer the skillets back to the oven and bake for 10 minutes more or until the edges are golden. Switch the oven to broil and cook for 2 minutes or until bubbly.
- Drizzle with hot honey and serve.
