Ingredients

2lbs sirloin steak

¼ cup olive oil

¼ cup Worcestershire sauce

1 Tablespoon dried oregano

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons paprika

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon zaatar

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

Juice from 1 lemon

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 onion, thinly sliced

1 can Pearls or Early California Simply olives

2 Tablespoons butter

1 Tablespoon flour

¾ cup milk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

3 oz provolone cheese, chopped

¼ cup feta cheese

4 sub sandwich rolls

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F
  2. Thinly slice the steak. It helps to refrigerate the meat for 20-30 minutes first in order to get thin slices. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, paprika, pepper, zaatar, garlic powder, onion powder, and lemon juice. Add thinly sliced meat. Toss to coat. Marinade for 30 minutes.
  4. To a large sheet pan add marinated meat, bell peppers, onions and olives. Spread into an even layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes until meat is cooked through.
