Olive & Garlic Sizzling Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 jar of Pearls Specialties Castelvetrano Olives
  • 55 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1.5 cups olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seed
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seed
  • 2 teaspoons chile flake
  • 1 lemon zest peeled
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 bricks cream cheese, softened

Cooking Instructions

  1. Set a wide pan over low heat and add the olive oil, the olives and all the garlic and crushed spices.
  2. Let the cloves slowly toast until they turn golden and soft. Stir now and then so they color evenly.
  3. Season with a good pinch of salt and lightly crush the garlic with a spoon so it turns jammy but still holds little pieces.
  4. Spread the cream cheese on a platter or in a shallow bowl.
  5. Spoon the warm garlic and spiced oil over the top so it pools around the edges.
  6. Serve with warm bread, crackers, or crisp vegetables.
